The Saltei Shamir (Shamir Salads) company is considering taking legal action against Tehinat Hanaisch (Prince Tehina). Shamir has been named in a class-action suit, following last week's discovery of salmonella in the salads it markets.
Claiming it conducts strict inspections of its assembly line and finished product, Shamir issued a statement that it did not take a chance with the public's health and issued a recall as soon as Tehinat Hanasich informed it of the salmonella fears. The statement added, Unfortunately, Tehinat Hanasich did not exhibit the same responsibility and, in fact, hid the fear of salmonella for at least 17 days."
