Women in Green for Israel's tomorrow will hold their annual walk from Jerusalem's Gan Ha’atzmaut (Independence Park) on Agron Street to the Lions Gate of the Old City at the beginning of the fast of the Ninth of Av, Saturday night. The walk will be preceded by the traditional reading of of the book of Eicha or Lamentations. Speaking at the Lions Gate will be  Minister Zeev Elkin and Deputy Minister Rav Eli Ben Dahan, Member of Knesset Yehuda Glick, former MK Aryeh Eldad and Rina Ariel, mother of murdered Kiryat Arba' teenager Hallel Yaffa, Hy”d.

The Heads of Women in Green, Yehudit Katsover and Nadia Matar, told Arutz Sheva, “We got permission from the Police but then they asked us to change the route the other way around, in order to avoid Damascus Gate. We made it clear that we would not compromise on the route”. They explained, “This year Ramadan does not fall during this period, so problems are not anticipated."
