Ecuador's attorney general has agreed to a request by the Swedish prosecutor to question Julian Assange, the founder of WikiLeaks, inside the Ecuadorean embassy in London. Assange is wanted for questioning over a rape allegation, which he denies. If he goes to Sweden, he believes he will be taken to the United States because of WikiLeaks exposure of government information.

Assange has been living inside the embassy for more than four years and has been granted political asylum by the government in Quito. A statement issued in Ecuador said a date for the questioning will be established in the coming weeks.
