Interior Minister Aryeh Deri convened a meeting of leaders from the haredi-religious factions in the Knesset, Monday, to discuss authorizing the status of draft-age yeshiva students under the law governing compulsory military service.
It was decided to continue to advance wording of the regulations for approval by the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee so as to allow tens of thousands of yeshiva students to continue their studies.
