Former National Security Council Chairman Giora Eiland criticised the Defence Ministry on Monday morning over its statements on Friday after US president Barack Obama discussed the nuclear deal with Iran.
"This statement is not just an error, it's also hard to understand the logic behind it, " commented Eiland on Army Radio.
He added: "As soon as you do something like this, where the only possible outcome is injury and insult, then nothing practical can happen - only damage."
