Dozens of parents and children demonstrated, Sunday evening near the Prime Minister's Residence in Jerusalem, against the decision to transfer supervision of daycare centers for children from the Economics Ministry to the Labor and Welfare Ministry instead of to the Education Ministry.
The demonstrators protested what they called the great hardship for early child care in Israel in general, specifically the lack of daycare centers and a lack of appropriate regulation and supervision.
