Belgian prosecutors said Sunday a man who attacked two policewomen, Saturday night in Charleroi, was an Algerian national known to police for criminal offenses but not terrorism.
The federal prosecutor’s office issued a statement that the 33-year-old attacker had been living in Belgium since 2012. He was shot to death.
