Northern District prosecutors have charged 29-year-old Wasim Ahmed Khutaba of the Nazareth-area village of Reineh with supporting the Islamic State terror movement. According to documents filed with the Nazareth Magistrates Court, he would routinely post messages of support for IS and its activities, including the terror attack in Belgium.
Khutaba thought to leave Israel to join IS in Syria and shared his plan with his wife. He didn't carry out the plan because his wife objected and because he was afraid of being arrested en route.
