Welfare and Labor Minister Haim Katz will designate 55 million shekels for the welfare needs of the residents of Gaza-area communities during the 2017-18 budget as part of the Financial Arrangements Law. The law is up for cabinet approval next week.

The money will be used for personal and economic needs such as psychological treatments for children, enrichment activities, identifying youth at risk who have developed psychological trauma as a result of fighting in the area and treatment through workshops involving horseback riding, music and challenging activities in the area.
