The Parole Board of the Israel Prisons Service decided, Thursday, not to release former president Moshe Katzav from the remainder of his seven-year sentence for rape and other offenses, according to Channel 10 Television.
The majority of the board determined that if Katzav undergoes a rehabilitation process in prison during the next months, he can apply again. Throughout legal proceedings against him, the former president has maintained his innocence.
