The Honenu legal organization condemned the IDF's policy of condemning its own soldiers for acting under dangerous situations:
"A Border Police commander cannot get in line with an extreme left organization, and thus the enemy wins over another neutralized soldier, as happened with the four Kfir soldiers who were jailed for two weeks over the false complaint of an Arab. and only after our legal investigation were they released unconditionally. Another absurd situation was created, wherein instead of neutralizing the terrorrists, the IDF is neutralizing its own soldiers. We are obligated to give a hand to the fighters who risk their lives for us, and not to abandon them."
