The Knesset on Monday night approved the first reading of the bill which stipulates that the establishment of Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation, the body which will replace the Israel Broadcasting Authority, will be postponed.
According to the law, the new Broadcasting Corporation will begin broadcasting between January and April of 2017. The bill passed by a majority of 58 Knesset members. 22 voted against and one abstained.
