The Foreign Ministry opened an office in Rio de Janeiro on Monday as an extension of the embassy in Brasilia. Its sole purpose is to provide emergency service to Israeli citizens visiting the city for the Olympics.
The extension will be open until September 22nd under the leadership of veteran diplomat Danny Gadot.
