Former President Shimon Peres fell ill and suffered from chest pains overnight Thursday. His son-in-law, Professor Rafi Walden, was called to Peres's home and conducted initial tests that showed that Peres was suffering from atrial fibrillation of the heart.
A senior cardiologist from the Tel Hashomer Hospital arrived at his home, took care of the former president and once his heart rate returned to normal, it was decided to leave him at home, Channel 10 reported.
