Member of Knesset Yair Lapid (Yesh Atid) said, Thursday morning, that he was willing to take a lie-detector test to prove he does not hate haredi-religious Jews. Interviewed on haredi-religious radio station Kol Chai, he protested the fact that accusations of hatred enter every political discussion.

Lapid was speaking in the context of legislation to withhold state funding from schools that don't teach core curriculum. Noting that he sent a lot of money to the haredi community while he was finance minister, Lapid said he was committed to give the maximum to all sectors of society, religious, non religious and non Jewish. He lamented that survey after survey showed that haredi youth have a difficult time fitting into the labor market.
