The Israel Defense Forces have suspended an outside lecturer as they investigate if he really defended exclusion of women during a mandatory talk given to an elite intelligence unit, according to a Thursday morning report by IDF Radio. Complaints were filed about the talks, saying, "Requiring soldier, particularly the women, to listen to these things in the IDF is fundamentally flawed.
The lecturer allegedly said the sending of women to the back of certain buses does not constitute exclusion because women look at men and have good thoughts while men look at women and have improper thoughts. He also cited hareidi religious practice against men listening to women singing.
