Jordanian border guards arrested a man on Tuesday as he tried to enter Israel in a car containing petrol bombs, according to Agence France Presse. Speaking on condition of anonymity, an official source told AFP the man was detained after ignoring orders at a checkpoint and trying to drive through roadblocks leading to the border.
The source said the car was seized and found to contain petrol bombs which the driver had "intended to use illegally". A statement from the armed forces also reported the seizure of his vehicle. The statement said, "Materials used to carry out illegal acts were found in the vehicle, and
the driver admitted that he intended to use them."
