Member of Knesset Michal Rozin (Meretz) has filed an urgent agenda item for the Knesset to discuss the Arab League summit which is scheduled to start on Monday in Mauritania. The summit is expected to renew support for the 2002 Saudi peace plan, which calls for Israel to withdraw to the 1949 Armistice Line.
Rozin said, "As those who find themselves in the Middle East, suffer from terrorism and experience the difficulties arising from the conflict on a daily basis, Israel's elected representatives must give their views on these issues. It's appropriate that the week in which the Arab League convenes, the Knesset plenum should also address these things."
