Rocket fire into Old Damascus on Sunday killed at least eight people and wounded more than 20, according to Agence France Presse. AFP cited the British-based monitor Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, which said the rockets were fired from rebel positions on the outskirts of the capital and struck several neighbourhoods in the center of the city.
