Member of Knesset Nachman Shai (Zionist Union) told Sunday's Knesset Economics Committee hearing on the delay in starting a new public broadcasting corporation to replace the financially ailing Israel Broadcasting Authority (IBA), " The handwriting was on the wall from the start. It was clear that this move is wrong. There are flaws in the process of dismissal [of employees from the IBA], the recruitment process [to the new body and] with funding".
Shai serves on the Special Committee for Discussion on the Public Broadcast Bill of 2015. He said, "The uncertainty must end. There are thousands of employees and tens of thousands of families, in the Authority and the [new] corporation, who are [being kept] in the darkn, not knowing where they are going. This cannot continue."
