The Ministerial Committee on Legislation endorsed, Sunday, a bill by Member of Knesset Motti Yogev (Jewish Home) to ease restrictions on funds deposited for soldiers upon their release from active duty.

Currently soldiers have up to seven years to use the money for getting married, studies, setting up a business or buying an apartment. Under the proposal, the eligibility period would be extended to 15 years or release from reserve duty, and the soldier could tap it for for welfare needs extending to the immediate family for five years.
