Opposition Leader MK Yitzchak Herzog commented on the Cabinet decision to cancel the Core Curriculum Law, which mandates that all schools teach English, math, and science:
"The attempt to impose [curriculum] structures on haredi society is an attempt doomed to fail. I never believed in such. Not in drafting [to the IDF], not in education, not in the relationship between religion and state. However, there is a huge gap between trying to deal with the issue...and between Bennett and Bibi's embarrassing choice to throw away responsibility, which kicks us backwards."
