Following a request from the Chief Rabbi of Jerusalem Rabbi Aryeh Stern, the gay pride flags hung near "Hechal Shlomo" and the Great Synagogue in Jerusalem have been taken down, on orders from Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat.
