Chairman Avi Nissenkoren of the Histadrut Labor Federation and Director-General Shlomo Filber of the Communications Ministry reached agreement, Monday, that the financially-troubled Israel Broadcasting Authority will close down in 2018 before giving way to a new public broadcasting body.
It became apparent in talks between the two sides that the new entity is not ready to start operations.
