The cabinet approved a memorandum of law, Sunday, which requires 36 percent of the salary of a worker who infiltrated Israel to be deposited and given to the infiltrator upon exit from Israel, according to Maariv. Twenty percent would be taken from the worker's salary and the employer would put up the other 16 percent. Infiltrators who voluntarily leave already get $3,500 and the price of an airline ticket.
Kol Yisrael government radio reports Interior Minister Aryeh Deri told the cabinet that 2004 infiltrators have left since the start of the year, 15,401 since 2013, most of them from Sudan and Eritrea. Only 18 people have entered illegally since the start of 2016.
