Israel's Chief Rabbinate continued to claim, Thursday, that it recognizes conversions certified by American orthodox rabbi Haskel Lookstein and that no conclusions should be drawn from Wednesday's decision by the Great Rabbinical Court to require a one of Rabbi Lookstein's converts to undergo a conversion with stringencies out of concern that her conversion was not valid.
The rabbinate issued a statement that Wednesday's decision related only to the specific case and not to Rabbi Lookstein in general.
