Member of Knesset Yair Lapid said, Thursday morning, that an investigation against Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu does not justify him stepping down from office, but the filing of charges would. Interviewed by Israel Defense Forces Radio, the chairman of the Yesh Atid party said there was no need for the attorney-general's check or investigation of matters related to the prime minister to be grounds for a witch hunt.
Lapid said he won't join the government, but Israelis should protect some basic sort of politeness toward whoever is in the office of prime minister.
