Vice President Riek Machar of South Sudan withdrew with his forces from the capital, Juba, as a cease fire with troops loyal to President Salva Kiir entered its third day. A spokesman for Machar said, Wednesday evening, that he does not intend to renew fighting.
The conflict has taken hundreds of lives in recent weeks. Israel has issued a warning against traveling to South Sudan.
