Fiat Chrysler Automobiles will pay as much as $1,500 to reward hackers for reporting bugs -- in their car computer systems.
FCA's move comes a year after cybersecurity researchers turned off a Jeep Cherokee's engine wirelessly. The hack, reported in Wired Magazine, sent shockwaves through the auto industry and led to a recall of 1.4 million FCA vehicles.
