Member of Knesset Shelly Yechimovich called, Tuesday, for the holding of Labor party primaries for the post of chairman by the end of 2016.

The former chairwoman said December will leave enough time for candidates within and outside the party to decide if they are right for the difficult challenge and prepare for a fair contest. She noted that the date will mark seven months past the date the primaries were supposed to be held, according to party bylaws.
