The Chief Rabbinical Court of Jerusalem invited the convert who converted to Judaism through Rabbi Haskel Lookstein of New York, to re-examine her case.
The court summons comes in the wake of the Petach Tikva Rabbinical Court's announcement that it wouldn't recognize conversions done by Rabbi Lookstein. The courts announcement stirred protests in Jerusalem, as many modern Orthodox Jews felt unfairly sidelined by haredi standards.
