MK Yair Lapid (Yesh Atid) urges the newly-appointed Chief Rabbi of the IDF Eyal Karim to make a clear statement supporting the female military draft, "else he cannot be the military Rabbi of the fighters of Karkal [co-ed combat unit], of the guards sitting opposite Hezbollah, of the female pilots of the Air Force, of the female fighters in the Navy, or any of the tens of thousands of female soldiers in the IDF.
If he wont say it in his own voice, he cannot be the Chief Rabbi of the IDF."
