MK Nachman Shai (Zionist Union) rejected on Monday evening the so-called “Transparency Law” which was passed by the Knesset.
"Israeli democracy today is suffering a fatal blow. If its foundations continue to crumble it will soon collapse. The NGO Law is a shameful law. It is sad that Israel boasts to the world that is the only democracy in the Middle East but is shooting itself in the foot. After this we will try to explain to the world how enlightened we are. Who will believe it?” said Shai.
