Police Commissioner Roni Alsheikh told the Knesset Constitution, Laws and Justice Committee, Monday, that there are reasons why the prosecution's file in a case should not be given to the defense. Appearing at a hearing on police intelligence gathering, the police chief said to give a file to a defense team could compromise a case because the defendant is not the prime suspect in the case.
Recently, such a file accidently ended up in the hands of a defense team.
