Be'er Sheva's first gay pride parade is scheduled to take place on Thursday, but it won't receive funding from the city because of pressure from the hareidi and religious Zionist parties in the coalition, according to a Monday-morning report by Haaretz. One of the parties said the current plans for the parade could also shake up the coalition.

The city said it wanted to fund a non-march pride event as it has in the past. It said an LGBT organization is promoting a protest march.
