Hanna Minenko jumped 14.51 meters, Sunday, to take second place at the European Athletics Championships in Amsterdam. Patricia Mamona of Portugal won the gold medal with a hop, skip and jump of 14.58 meters.
The Ukraine native won the silver at last year's world championships and is considered to have a good shot at the upcoming Olympics in Rio. She placed fourth at the London Olympics in 2012.
