A number of Knesset members have promised to do what they can to cancel an administrative order that has removed a 15-year-old boy from his home in the Samarian Jewish community of Yitzhar without trial or presentation of evidence against him.
The promises came after the boy and his father visited the Knesset on Wednesday, accompanied by executive director Shmuel Medad of the Honenu legal-aid organization, which is representing him. Member of Knesset Mordechai Yogev said he would advance discussion of the matter by the Committee for Child Welfare.
