Jerusalem city councilman Aryeh King has come out against the government's announcement, this week, that it will permit the building of 600 dwelling units in the Arab neighborhood of Beit Safafa.
Councilman King told Arutz Sheva the problem is not just in the permit to build but its refusal to destroy thousands of illegal units. He said Jerusalem has more than 100,000 illegal Arab occupants and 42,000 illegal units in the predominantly Arab eastern part of the city.
