The Knesset Economics Committee has sent a bill for its final readings in the plenum that would require the post office to identify the sender on notices it sends to people to pick up registered mail or large packages.
Co-sponsor Uri Maklev said the purpose of the bill is to let the person who receives the notice know if it's worthwhile to pick up the package or the registered mail. He noted that people get a notice and waste a lot of time waiting in line, only to find out they have no interest in the letter or the package.
