An investigation by the Israel Defense Forces into last month's visit by chairman Eric Schmidt of Google to the Hatzerim Air Force Base has determined that it was wrong to order soldiers to spell out the word Google in his honor. The report called the maneuver unnecessary for their specified duties, even though the event was not intended to be for economic or commercial gain.
It was agreed that in the future, soldiers in the Air Force will only be activated for their specified tasks.
