The perpetrators of the shooting attack on the Max Brenner restaurant in Tel Aviv in June, which left 4 dead and 15 injured, have been arrested. The operation was a joint effort of Shabak, the IDF, and other special forces units.
Two of the arrested are Mahmoud and Halad Mahmara, born in '95, and are residents of Yatta, in the area of Yatir. Mahmoud was an ISIS supporter, who studied in Jordan before returning home in 2016. The two wanted to enact an attack in the name of ISIS, although they lacked official support from the organization.
Another suspect arrested, Yunis Ayish Moussa Zin, born in '94, had acquired a Carlo gun, and planned to join the attack with the Mahmara brothers, but couldn't make it due to technical issues.
