The Otzma Yehudit (Jewish Power) movement submitted a petition to the Supreme Court on Sunday to cancel a portion of last week's reconciliation agreement with Turkey. The portion gives compensation to Turkish citizens and their families for deaths and wounds suffered when Israeli commandos defended themselves from attack while diverting the Turkish ship Mavi Marmara from its attempt to break the naval blockade of Gaza in 2010.
The petition says it can't be that those who sought to hurt or murder (or their relatives) find themselves receiving compensation for those criminal acts. It also cites cabinet ministers for failing to take into consideration the wave of terror that can be expected just because of what it calls Israel's caving in and boot licking.
