ex-President Shimon Peres recorded a eulogy for Elie Wiesel this morning, explaining that "the voice of Elie was the voice of a million and a half children and of a nation unjustly murdered.

"Elie, your voice will go on. It is a part of the identity of our eternal nation."

He continues: "Elie's message inspired me to never stop believing that we shall overcome any challenge, and that justice is stronger than darkness. His voice, his strength, his fear, his courage will remain as a message not only for us, but for our children and our children’s children who will learn that real hope can exist even within the darkest nightmare."
