Reservists from the elite commando unit Shayatet 13 petitioned the High Court against the reconciliation deal with Turkey under which Israel will pay millions of dollars to the families of the terrorists.
"The petition focuses on the unwritten covenant between the State of Israel and its soldiers and the duty of the state to support them and back them up. This covenant is not written on paper but is engraved with the blood of the 23,447 fallen soldiers of Israel", according to the petitioners.
The petition asks the court to issue an order preventing the transfer of funds from the State of Israel to the families of terrorists.
