Tuesday afternoon, MK Zeev Elkin commented on the choice of MK Ahmed Tibi to boycott a Knesset event commemorating 85 years since the establishment of the Irgun.
"When I hear voices, like Ahmed Tibi's, that are protesting the events today, my response is very simple: Tibi needs to realize that he is in a democratic, and even Jewish, state, and that the heritage of Israel is also a heritage of Zionism and a heritage of building the state of Israel. A part of that is a heritage of improving the nation of Israel's ability to protect itself. The Irgun is a part of this heritage. He doesn't like it? He should find a different parliament in a different country," said Elkin.
