Agriculture Minister Uri Ariel (Jewish Home) on Friday expressed his condolences following the death of Jewish philanthropist Dr. Irving Moskowitz, who helped many nationalist Israeli organizations.
"Irving Moskowitz's death leaves his family, his many acquaintances and me personally in great pain. Together with his wife Cherna, Irving established enterprises of charity, founded Torah yeshivas, and planted the earth by building a slew of communities," he said.
"He was one of a kind in building the state and strengthening the Zionist enterprise. I have no doubt that his actions will light the candle for future generations. My sincere condolences to Cherna, the children, and the rest of the family," said Ariel.
