The commander of the army unit under which IDF soldier Elor Azariya served said point blank on Thursday during a court hearing that there was no justification for shooting the terrorist dead in Hevron.
The commander said that he asked Azariya why he shot the terrorist. According to the commander, Azariya answered, "The terrorist was alive; he needed to die."
