The Economy Ministry imposed a fine of more than a million shekels on the Jewish Home party for violations of labor laws, Channel 2 News reported on Wednesday.

According to the report, after the elections in 2013 the ministry received dozens of complaints from teenaged boys who worked for the party during the campaign and some of whom were not paid minimum wage, not paid on time or not paid at all.

In response, the Jewish Home said that "indeed there was a regrettable delay in the elections in 2013. We located the workers and paid. Of course we will study the letter and act in accordance."
