The last known surviving 9/11 search dog has died, CBS reports.
Shortly after the September 11 attacks, Bretagne, a golden retriever, was sent from Texas to New York to help find survivors and human remains. She and her handler spent 10 days at the site.
Bretagne retired seven years later, but lived to the advanced age of 16. She was euthanized in a suburb of Houston.
