In honor of a day of identification with blind and sight-impaired people, the National Insurance Institute announced that people suffering from blindness and impaired vision will no longer need to be tested twice- once by National Insurance and once by the Welfare Ministry, in order to receive a “certificate of blindness” or disability stipends and special services.
One test at either institution will now suffice. The test’s results will be transferred to the second establishment.
